Immunodeficiency Disorder:

An immunodeficiency disorder is a conditon that occurs when one or more parts of the immune system are missing or defective resulting in recurrent infections.

Types of Immunodeficiency Disorders 

  • Congenital (Primary) - immunodeficiency disorder that is present to birth, infancy or childhood. Usually hereditary.
  • Acquired (Secondary) - immunodeficiency disorder that occurs later in life due to drug allergy or another disorder.

  • Chediak-Higashi syndrome
  • Combined Immunodeficiency disease
